Scandinavian Harmony in Japandi Style

140m2

A comprehensive interior design of a house that embodies peace, naturalness, and functional minimalism. The interiors were designed in the spirit of Japandi, combining Scandinavian coziness with Japanese restraint. The dominance of light oak, white, and subtle textures creates a space full of light, favoring calm and regeneration. The project included the day zone with a kitchen and dining area, the staircase, corridors, and a spacious home office.

Key project features:

  • Kitchen & Dining Area: The heart of the house is a bright, linear kitchen with a view of nature. The dining area is emphasized by vertical slats made of light wood, which transition smoothly into a comfortable built-in bench, creating a cozy corner around an oval oak table.
  • Work & Relaxation Zone: A spacious home office combines professional functionality with a place to rest. A large wooden desk positioned by the window provides ideal working conditions, while the presence of a comfortable sofa and armchair allows for a moment of relaxation in the same room.
  • Communication & Stairs: The staircase is kept in white and wood, which optically enlarges the space. Minimalist graphics in terracotta tones appear on the walls, adding an artistic touch to the interior.
  • Effect of Space: Large mirror surfaces and glass doors were used in the corridors, which not only illuminate the interior but also create interesting reflections and enhance the overall sense of spaciousness throughout the house.
